We've won a few awards ...

... and we thought this would be the perfect place to tell people about it. Your taste buds will thank us!

We’re very happy that not only has Stephen Hope (our fantastic head chef) and the restaurant won a few awards, but our food and our bar have as well. We put a lot of work into making sure we’re offering the very best we can, and it’s great to get recognised for it.

Head Chef Stephen Hope has undergone the most intense cooking trials to be crowned the winner of the annual Gordon Ramsay scholarship in 2009. More recently, Stephen worked hard to win the esteemed title of Northern Ireland’s Chef of the year 2010.

Over the past year or two we have also won the following awards, and been mentioned in the following places:

Featured in the Michelin Eating Out in Pubs 2010 guide, making it the 6th year in a row.

FTL award Food pub of the year 2010.

Fate awards Best Regional Bar 2010.

Featured in the Guardian and Observer guide to summer pubs 2009, only 1 of 4 pubs in Northern Ireland to be chosen. (We were specifically chosen for the Best of Pub Grub category.)

Featured in the top 5 of the Favourite Pubs section of UTV’s “Ultimate Ulster”, from a public vote, 2008.

We don’t want to rest on our laurels though, as we aim to continue to serve award-winning hospitality for quite some time to come!
